This little mount has been working well on my outboard motor. It’s holding up nicely in the Florida sun and shows no signs of coming off the hood so far. It provides just enough height for an interesting view with a 360 camera. I’ve attached a stronger safety lanyard just in case it does come loose—I don’t want to lose anything. It’s proven reliable, and I like it. It’s a worthwhile purchase if you need a mount like this.
This action camera mount works really well, I got this mount to actually use as an overhead camera mount for my GoPro, the peel and stick backing has a nice strong adhesion, I stuck the mount to the wall and so far the mount is supporting the weight of my gopro really good, the carbon fiber extension rod feels very solid and durable, the set came with 2 thumb screws, 2 peel and stick mounts, a ¼ inch to two prong adapter, a 3 prong adapter and the carbon fiber extension rod, all in all I am very happy with this action camera mount and for the price in my opinion it's a pretty good value.
I picked up this kit in order to help film a road trip I will be taking soon. I'll use this to mount an Osmo Action 4 to the dash of a rental car. I like this option because of the extension tube that will provide a better viewing angle than a camera flush with the dah/hood itself. There are plenty of mounting options without the tube, but this set up is perfect. The best part is that the extension tube is carbon fiber, making it incredibly lightweight. I'll be traveling via airplane with this before it ever gets mounted, so the light weight will be much appreciated. The GoPro mounts feel sturdy, and the plastic base is solid but with just the right amount of give to flex around a curbed surface. The fact that you get two sticking bases means this kit will be useful for more than one of my trips, which is excellent. Overall, I'm very please I picked this up and I can't wait to put it to use.
I picked these camera mounts up for my 360 camera the x5. I have zero complaints for how they work. Once I got them stuck to my helmet they feel very stable. I gave it a few days before putting any weight on them to let the adhesive stick better. Cleaned the spot with alcohol before putting on also. I mounted on the back side of helmet. It does add a little different look but you can take most of mount off when not recording footage. Very easy overall to set up and use.
Here's what I like about the base of mount--it's rubbery and flexible, so when you stick it to a helmet or other rounded surface, it nicely (and hopefully securely) curves to the surface...something a hard plastic mount couldn't do.Also, it gives you the option of placing the camera close to that surface, or elevating it a bit with a small extension pole. Finally, they have the good sense to supply a "safety rope"--actually a string and a separate mount that you can adhere to the same surface to give you some piece of mind that if the mount SHOULD fail, your camera won't go flying off and fall to pieces behind you on the road (fingers crossed). Downside: this kit comes with only one safety rope/string...despite also coming with two mounts.Downside: As I mentioned, there are only two mounts and they are single use--so you really need to be sure about where you apply this mount, because if you remove it and want to put the mount somewhere else, you're going to have to find a new adhesive tape...assuming you can remove the old one from the rubber mount.I haven't hooked up my Osmo Action 4 on this and taken it out on the road yet, but I have my fingers crossed it'll stay attached to my helmet...and I won't have to rely on the "safety rope."Worth noting--when I first bought a new motorcycle helmet, the manufacturer told me that applying an adhesive mount like this would void my helmet warranty. You might want to check on that with your own helmet. Of course, now that my warranty is over, I can do whatever I want. I'll report back if this passes the road test.
